Dia de Muertos with the International Folk Art Museum

Día de Muertos/Day of the Dead» is rooted in both indigenous Mexican and Catholic religious beliefs. These traditions center on honoring and celebrating the Dead. In the last few decades celebrations of Day of the Dead have increased in popularity throughout the U.S. coming and going by Catalina Delgado TrunkThe resulting, often humorous view of death as part of the life cycle provides and opportunity for families to gather and remember their loved ones.
